Slab!!! 23.11.09

Well we had the day off work today and we decided to drive by the block around lunchtime and saw the builders doing our slab! Yay so exciting - now comes the 1st invoice oh well : )

The rio has been fitted today so the boxing up for the slab is complete. So im guessing when we get a few hot days in a row they will pour the slab so it has time to cure (its raining at the moment).
The builders toilet has also been delivered this is my highlight of the week........

Pipes 18.11.09

Ok so now this is up to date finally! I drove past tonight and we have pipes and looks like we are getting close to a slab! Yay dunno if they will work tommorow as it is going to be hot hot hot! But you never know could have a slab on Monday or Tuesday I reakon!

Finally Excavation 12.11.09!

Well it was a long wait - nothing happened for weeks after we already had our building permit on hand and then we drove past our block on the 12.11.09 to find a little suprise (well sort of I had rang the builder and they said it was going to happen but I didn't believe it till I saw it!) The very next day we had hurdles so after 2 days of work on the block it was all too exciting!

My Dad and his poison! Argh!

Ok so the blokes did mow the block and then they poisoned all the grass I guess to save coming back to mow again! Notice how our lovely gum tree died in the process! hehe... I guess we will have to replace it but will wait until building is complete!

At this stage our block was pegged out and we had a sign so it was the first thing done to our block other than the tap at the front

The land....

I am a little behind on creating my blog so to begin with our storey.

Above are some pics of the land we purchased before anything was done to it : )
We settled on our land on the 08.10.09 and then it was goodbye to renting and we moved back in with my parents.

A brand new home...

Hello All,

Welcome to our blog for our very first home we are builing in Mooroolbark.
It has been a very exciting journey so far with most of our colour selections made and now the building has started. Please feel free to follow our blog and watch our block turn into a beautiful new home!
